Inventory Allocation
Rules for which room or villa type goes to which channel on which dates. Peak dates protected for direct and repeat guests, the slow tail released earlier, and stop sell and release rules agreed before the season starts.
Which room or villa is open on which channel, on which dates, at what price. We set that up for hotels and villa groups, then grow the share of bookings that come in direct.
01Overview
An OTA or wholesale booking leaves 15 to 25 percent of the room revenue behind once commission and everything around it is counted. How rooms are allocated across channels decides that cost before a guest starts searching, so allocation comes first.
We measure every OTA, wholesaler and DMC agreement by what it brings in and what it costs, including the bookings it takes that would have arrived anyway. The strongest dates are held for direct and returning guests. Slower dates and harder room types go wider and earlier, to channels that reach markets you cannot reach on your own.
Then we build the direct side: the pages that lead to a booking, the booking engine, Google Hotel Ads and how fast reservations answer. A direct guest arrives with an email address and a history, and the terms of the stay are yours to set.
Allocation rules by room or villa type and by date band, with stop sell and release rules agreed before the season
Exposure, promotions and programme entry adjusted month by month, per property
Full cost of sale per contract, with overlap between partners selling the same guest measured
Booking path, booking engine and mobile checkout built and tested for conversion
02What we offer
Rules for which room or villa type goes to which channel on which dates. Peak dates protected for direct and repeat guests, the slow tail released earlier, and stop sell and release rules agreed before the season starts.
Exposure on each OTA moved with demand, month by month and per property. Pulled back when demand is high so direct takes the room, opened up in quieter periods. Genius, preferred and campaign programmes judged on what they cost.
Every OTA, wholesaler and DMC agreement measured on volume, average rate, length of stay, cancellations and full cost of sale. Contracts renegotiated or retired on that evidence.
Source markets mapped per property, with commission paid where a channel reaches guests you cannot reach directly. Parity watched every day so the direct rate is never undercut, and brand terms defended on search and metasearch.
A light revamp of the pages that lead to a booking, landing pages per campaign, and booking engine conversion on mobile. Speed, uptime and broken paths monitored, with ongoing tests on the pages that matter most.
Google Hotel Ads and free booking links, direct benefits that add value to the stay, reservations and WhatsApp response times, enquiry follow up and abandoned booking recovery.
03How it works
Twenty four months of figures by property and by month: nights, rates, revenue, channel and commission. We agree where direct share sits today before anything changes.
Rate structure and season calendar rebuilt, allocation rules written, and tracking fixed across the booking engine, WhatsApp and the property system.
Weekly pricing and exposure decisions with your team, direct campaigns live, and one monthly report on cost of sale, direct share and pace against last year.
